When a couple says, “We want it fun, quirky, and totally us” and gives you full creative freedom? Dream job.
It was an absolute privilege and honour to be given full creative freedom to design all the artwork for Gemma and Adam’s wedding — a day full of love, colour, and character. They asked for fun and quirky, and we went all out!
Welcome Board
Set against the Musselburgh to North Berwick coastline — their home — this portrait brought together their family: Gemma, Adam, her wonderful son Oscar, and their beloved dog Sophie, who had sadly passed but was lovingly included. Every detail had meaning — from Gemma’s nod to her journey with a brain injury, to Adam’s police hat and tartan touches.
Order of the Day
Custom-illustrated with joyful details, like Sophie delivering the drinks and their signature donut cake making a sweet appearance.
Table Plan
Framed A1 watercolour featuring Tantallon Castle — a striking and sentimental centrepiece.
Table Names
Playful and personal — pink & chocolate donuts and bottles of bubbly, each hand-painted and digitally finished with tassels, ribbons, and personalised touches.
All pieces were painted by hand with watercolours with love. Thank you to the Bromley-Gow’s for trusting me with your vision — it was a joy to create!

“Mairi demonstrate’s such integrity and passion in her artwork. The work she did for our wedding was pure magic wrapped in a heartwarming story personal to us. Everything was so well thought out and the fun details worked perfectly and really captured our lives. We especially love how she added the Scottish landscape with Tantallon Castle and the Bass Rock. We lost our dog just before we got married, she would have been with us on our big day; Mairi created her beautifully with a halo over her head - this on its own was just so special. You can really tell that so much personal care and authenticity goes into Mairi’s work. The paintings are beautiful and the quality is excellent. I can't praise Mairi’s work more.
